DARCEY UPDATE:
In more recent years, Darcey has taken time away from ballet to
become a mother and now has two daughters. She was very ill at the
time of the birth of her first daughter Phoebe, but had a much
easier time with the birth of her second daughter Zoe in 2004.
She has been able to spend more time with her husband Angus and has
taken the opportunity to undergo successful surgery to her ankle
which has taken away the pain in jumping and landing.
She returned to dancing this year at the Met in New York, where she
and her partner Robert Bolle were greeted enthusiastically by the
New York audiences.
At the end of September in Paris, she will join the Royal Ballet
members for a joint gala with the Paris Opera Ballet.
Currently she is in training for the new season starting in October
doing Pilates and Barre work as part of her strengthening programme,
in preparation for her leading roles in Requiem and Silvia. If you are interested in the prints please contact:
